Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
Just south of Shenandoah, Iowa — surrounded by hills, goats, flowers, and the occasional gust of wind that might carry your hat into the next county.
Can we visit the farm?
Yes! We love visitors — during events, workshops, or by appointment. Keep an eye on our website and social media for all the happenings.
What do you grow?
A little bit of everything! You’ll find garden plants, flowers, herbs, fresh produce like lettuce and spinach, and even duck and chicken eggs. We grow organically and as naturally as possible — just sunshine, compost, and care.
Is the farm open year-round?
Not exactly. Our high tunnel helps us extend the season, but we mostly operate spring through fall. However, fresh produce and plants are often available for local pickup or delivery depending on the season.
How do I order your products?
Easy! Click the SHOP tab, add your goodies to the cart, pop in your ZIP code to see delivery or pickup options, and check out. We’ll contact you within a day or two to arrange details.
Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver locally to Shenandoah, Clarinda, Red Oak, Farragut, and Sidney. Not sure if you’re in range? Send us a message and we’ll try to work something out!
Are your eggs washed or refrigerated?
Nope! Our eggs are fresh from the nest and unwashed, which keeps the protective bloom intact. Store them however you’re comfortable — we refrigerate ours after about a week.
Do you offer tours or classes?
Yes! From “Grow Your Own Bouquet” workshops to goat yoga, we’re always cooking up something fun. We also offer educational classes and seasonal events for all ages.
Is the farm kid-friendly?
Absolutely — we love tiny farm fans! Just remember we’re a working farm with animals, so keep an eye on the kiddos, wear closed-toe shoes, and be ready for a little dirt.
Are you a safe and inclusive space?
Yes. Our farm is a place of peace, learning, and community for everyone. No matter who you are, you’re welcome here.
How do I keep up with what’s available?
Sign up for our Fresh Picks newsletter for weekly availability, fun stories from the farm, and early access to events (and sometimes discount codes!).
