Farm Fresh Produce
Small Farm. Big Flavor.
Everything here is grown with love right here at Sycamore Ridge, just south of Shenandoah. From sweet cherry tomatoes to colorful heirloom beets, we’re all about bringing seasonal, nutrient-dense goodness straight from our soil to your table.
Harvest to Table
No Tillage. No Chemicals. Just Real Food.
How We Grow
We’re not just growing veggies—we’re building soil, supporting pollinators, and creating a little ecosystem right here at Sycamore Ridge. Our goal is to grow food that’s nutrient-dense, fresh, and raised with intention.
Here’s what that looks like:
-
No till, no spray – We don’t till the soil or use synthetic chemicals. We’d rather let the soil life do the heavy lifting.
-
A few weeds, but no worries – We use weed fabric to keep the chaos under control, but sometimes the weeds still sneak in. We call them character.
-
Fertilized by friends – Our animals play a big role in our soil health. Their well-aged manure becomes the magic that feeds our plants. Goats, chickens, ducks, and rabbits all contribute to the cause.
-
Closed-loop systems – We try to keep everything as internal and regenerative as possible. Composting, rotating, mulching—it’s all part of the plan.
-
Grown in the elements – Our high tunnel gives us a little protection from wild weather, but the wind still finds its way in. These plants are tough, like us.
Basically, we grow with care, respect for nature, and a lot of hands-on love (plus a few stubborn farm cats watching from the sidelines).

Where We Grow
We like to think of Sycamore Ridge as a little farm with big heart—and good dirt. Most of our growing happens out in the garden, where weed fabric helps us spend less time pulling weeds and more time planting pretty things (and eating them).
We don’t use chemicals—unless you count goat poop and duck waddles as a formula (we kinda do). Everything’s grown in compost-rich soil, thanks to our furry and feathered farm helpers who help keep the ecosystem thriving.
Our high tunnel is the new kid on the block—fully equipped with irrigation and dreams of growing early spinach and late tomatoes. We’re in Zone 5b, which means we work with the seasons, not against them. No tropical bananas here… yet.
We harvest everything by hand, with dirt under our nails and big grins on our faces. We grow first for our family, but we love sharing the extras—because what’s better than a tomato grown with love and a little bit of horse-side chit chat?
Think of it like an online farmers market—with less dust and more comfy couch shopping. 🌿
Every Monday, we send out our Fresh Picks email with everything we’ve harvested (or will harvest soon!). You’ll see what’s in stock—like juicy tomatoes, spicy peppers, and crunchy carrots—and you can order right on our website under the SHOP tab.
Just add your goodies to the cart, enter your zip code, and we’ll show you your delivery or pickup options. We deliver locally (now to Sidney, Red Oak, Clarinda, and more!), or you can pick up your order in Farragut or right here at the farm.
The Order Window
The catch? You've gotta get your order in before Friday at 2 PM—that’s when our order window closes.Once your order’s in, we’ll be in touch with when to expect your delivery or pick-up. Easy peasy, and no need to chase us down at a market.
